Below you will find answers to many common questions about Day of Giving 2024.
What is DAY OF GIVING?
We have set aside 24 hours for the C-SC community to come together and make an impact for students of promise by supporting the Student Scholarship Fund. This is the opportunity to DOUBLE the impact of your gift to secure the $50,000 anonymous match for supporting current Wildcat scholarships.
This year's event will take place on March 19, with dining and coffee options on Monday, March 18 at Primo's, Tiramisu, and Hebrews. During these 24 hours, we will make a difference for the C-SC student scholarship fund. Throughout this special day, follow our social media to hear about the lives changed by scholarship support, and make a gift to the Student Scholarship Fund.
Why should I participate?
Your gift to the Student Scholarship Fund makes a difference EVERY DAY. During the Day of Giving, all gifts will be matched dollar-for-dollar (up to $50,000) by an generous donor, DOUBLING the impact of your giving.
The Student Scholarship Fund provides crucial scholarship support to over 90% of our Wildcat students so that they may benefit from the exceptional Culver-Stockton College experience. For many of them, these scholarship dollars are often the factor that determines if they will be able to make C-SC their home and launching pad for their future.
Besides making a gift to the Student Scholarship Fund, how can I help?
You can make the greatest impact during our Day of Giving by following our formula:
GIVE- Make a contribution of any size to the Student Scholarship Fund.
LIKE- Follow along on the C-SC social media platforms to learn more about some of the students who are impacted by scholarship support. Your engagement on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram helps us reach more alumni.
SHARE- Spread the word, be an Ambassador! Send an email to classmates, post on your Facebook page, tweet, blog, and go live on Instagram. Whatever tools you use, be sure to shout it out and celebrate that it’s C-SC's Day of Giving! Top Ambassadors will receive gifts.
What is an Ambassador?
Members of the C-SC community who register to be Ambassadors have an opportunity to share their stories, rally their friends and classmates to give, and engage with C-SC on social media. For more information about signing up as an Ambassador, click the AMBASSADORS link at the top of the page. CLICK HERE to watch a short Ambassador FAQ Training Video!
Why is alumni giving so important?
Alumni giving makes an immediate impact, as Wildcat alumni gifts have an opportunity to boost our regional and national rankings. When 20% or more of our alumni give back, this signals to ranking organizations and prospective foundation grant makers that C-SC alumni care about the future of the institution and want to invest in programs they believe in. Our students also see and feel the impact when the Alumni support them.
